Parish Brazzeal Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 183 in Cuero
CUERO, TX (January 19, 2023) – Officials identified 34-year-old Parish Shlene Brazzeal as the victim who died in a car crash on Highway 183 on January 10.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the northbound lanes of the highway, about 2 miles south of Cuero.
Based on a report, Brazzeal was driving a 2009 Kia Sorento on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, 82-year-old Sandra Leske Marie was making a left turn into a private drive.
Brazzeal tried to pass Marie in a no-passing zone and struck her vehicle in the front-right panel. Subsequently, Brazzeal’s vehicle rolled several times, ejecting her. She was not wearing her safety belt.
As a result, Brazzeal suffered severe injuries. Paramedics transported her to DeTar Hospital in Victoria, where she later died.
Marie was not hurt in the incident.
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
