TEMPE, AZ (December 13, 2023) – Tempe Police confirmed that one person suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on 48th Street on December 5.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Southern Avenue around 6:00 PM. Based on the report, the motorcyclist was going south on 48th Street at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle failed to yield to the right of way while turning left to go west on Southern Avenue and hit the victim.
 
As a result, the rider suffered serious injuries in the crash. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
 
Police said impairment was not a factor in the crash.
