Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash on Loop 101 in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 27, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that one person died in a two-vehicle crash on Loop 101 on September 23.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 7th Street around 2:30 AM. Based on a report, a pickup truck driver crashed into a garbage truck near the intersection.
 
Subsequently, the pickup truck burst into flames after the collision.
 
As a result, the driver of the pickup truck suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The garbage truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
