Fatal Truck Accident on West 44th Avenue and Kipling Street

 
WHEAT RIDGE, CO (January 10, 2024) — One person died in a truck accident on West 44th Avenue on Monday, December 23.
 
According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of West 44th Avenue and Kipling Street at about 9:32 a.m.
 
Wheat Ridge Police said the collision crash left one person dead. In addition, paramedics also brought two people to the hospital in critical condition following the incident.
 
A photo posted by the police department displayed two trucks and debris in the middle of the intersection. In the photo, a black Toyota Tundra sustained significant front-end damage. Meanwhile, it also shows a crumpled bed of a maroon Dodge Ram.
 
Officials later said the passenger of the Ram and the driver of the Tundra were the ones who sustained injuries.
 
Authorities closed the intersection as crews cleared the area. They reopened it at around 4:26 p.m.
 
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
