Man Dead, Two Others Hospitalized after Allyn Speeding Accident on Highway 3

 
ALLYN, WA (December 19, 2024) — A 39-year-old man died after a speeding accident on Highway 3 on Thursday, December 4.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Highway 3 near Grapeview Loop Road South.
 
WSP said the 39-year-old man drove a 1994 Acura Integra southbound on Highway 3 just north of Grapeview Loop Road South. Meanwhile, a second vehicle, a 2006 Audi A8, traveled northbound with a 59-year-old man and a 65-year-old man inside.
 
Then, the Acura crossed the centerline and hit the Audi. After that, it came to stop in the southbound lane of the highway. Meanwhile, the Audi came to rest in the northbound ditch.
 
WSP said the driver of the Acura died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the men in the second vehicle to St. Michael’s Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
 
The WSP report stated that speeding caused the deceased driver to lose control of the car.
 
Both vehicles sustained severe damage, and crews towed them from the scene.
