Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway [Marana, AZ]

One Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on 10 Freeway near West Marana Road

 
MARANA, AZ (October 10, 2023) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway on Saturday, September 9.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, officers received calls at around 2:18 a.m. about the accident. Officers then responded to the eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway near the West Marana Road exit.
 
Officers arrived at the scene and discovered two vehicles and a pedestrian involved in the crash.
 
Reports confirmed that the pedestrian died due to sustained injuries after being struck by the two vehicles. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of loved ones.
 
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said officers closed the east lanes of the freeway until nearly 7:00 a.m.
