Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Accident on Highway 190 in Tyler County

 
TYLER COUNTY, TX (September 30, 2022) – Police confirmed one death in a truck accident on Highway 190 on September 27.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly after 10:00 AM midway between Dam B and Woodville.
 
Based on a report, a 2017 Kenworth truck pulling a trailer loaded with a log-skidder was westbound on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an eastbound 2006 Buick SUV crossed the center line. Subsequently, the SUV hit the left side of the big rig.
 
As a result, the driver of the SUV suffered severe injuries in the incident. Medics airlifted him to Conroe Regional Hospital, where the victim died.
 
A passenger in the SUV suffered life threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Conroe Regional Hospital. The truck driver was not hurt.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
