JEAN, NV (January 3, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a rollover crash on southbound 15 Freeway on December 23.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened roughly 13 miles from the Nevada-California state line at approximately 8:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on the freeway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle rolled over and caught fire in the incident.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
 
The crash also shut down all southbound lanes in the freeway.
