LAS VEGAS, NV (February 26, 2025) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that one person died in a hit-and-run on Sahara Avenue on February 20.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Valley View Boulevard around 2:10 AM. Based on a report, the victim was a pedestrian walking near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck the victim. The driver fled the scene afterwards.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to UMC, where they later died.
 
Police later located and arrested the driver of the vehicle.
 
Authorities did not release the identities of both the victim and the suspect.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
