One Killed in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 503 at Jim Creek Road [Arlington, WA]

ARLINGTON, WA (November 6, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that one person died in a multi-car crash on Highway 503 on October 18.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Jim Creek Road around 7:14 PM. Based on a report, a red Ford F150 truck was traveling on the highway at high rate of speed before the crash.
 
Subsequently, it struck a Chevy pickup truck from behind. The impact pushed the Chevy off the road and landed in a ditch. At the same time, the Ford truck rolled into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Ford Escape SUV.
 
The driver of the Ford truck, who was the only person in the vehicle, died at the scene. Officials did not release the victim’s name, pending next of kin notification.
 
The driver and the passenger of the Chevy, both 20 years old, were hurt in the crash. The SUV driver, a 27-year-old, also sustained injuries.
 
WSP officials say the cause of the crash was driving at a speed too fast for the conditions. It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were also involved factors.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
