Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Broadway Avenue in Apache Junction

 
APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (September 12, 2024) – The Apache Junction Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Broadway Avenue on August 31.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Cedar Drive, just east of Meridian Road. Based on a report, the victim’s motorcycle collided with a car near the intersection.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Crews closed Broadway Avenue in both directions as police investigated the crash.
 
The department said they do not believe impairment was a factor in this crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
