One Dies, Four Suffers Injuries After West Covina Crash on West Puente Avenue

 
WEST COVINA, CA (February 28, 2025) – A person died while four other people sustained injuries following a crash on West Puente Avenue early Friday, February 21.

The fatal incident occurred in the 1700 block of West Puente Avenue, according to the West Covina Police Department which responded to the scene at around 12:16 a.m.

Officials stated that a black Toyota sedan had been traveling in the wrong direction, for reasons still undetermined.

The Toyota then slammed into a white Honda sedan, occupied by four people.

The accident left a male passenger in the Honda dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the three other occupants of the Honda survived and received transport to a hospital.

One of the patients ended up in critical condition. The second one wound up in stable condition while the third was treated and released.

The driver of the Toyota also received medical attention at a hospital in critical condition.

The case is still under investigation.
