Tour Bus Involved in Fatal Accident in Grand Canyon West

 
GRAND CANYON WEST, AZ (August 9, 2023) – Officials confirmed that one person died while over 50 people were injured in a tour bus accident at Grand Canyon West on August 1.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near the parking lot just before 10:00 AM at Grand Canyon West in the Hualapai Reservation. Based on a report, the private tour bus with 57 passengers on board collided with a visitor’s personal vehicle.
 
Subsequently, the bus rolled over in the incident.
 
As a result, the Hualapai Nation Police Department said one person suffered grave injuries and died. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Emergency crews airlifted eight people to hospitals for treatment of injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
