One Killed in Crash on South McCarran Boulevard at Plumb Lane [Reno, NV]

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash Reported on South McCarran Boulevard in Reno

 
RENO, NV (December 19, 2024) – The Reno Police Department confirmed that one person died in a crash on South McCarran Boulevard on December 7.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Plumb Lane around 8:40 PM. Based on a report, three vehicles collided in the lanes.
 
As a result, one of the drivers suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not release the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Authorities say the other drivers are cooperating with the investigation.
 
Authorities said speed was a possible factor in this crash.
 
Crews closed South McCarran Boulevard from Plumb Lane to Cashill Boulevard in both directions while they worked on the wreck.
