DENVER, CO (January 10, 2025) — One person died following a two-vehicle crash on South Sheridan Boulevard on Wednesday, January 1.
 
According to the Denver Police Department, the two-car accident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Sheridan Boulevard near West Mississippi Avenue.
 
Officers responded to the crash and discovered two drivers were involved in the collision. Paramedics then transported both drivers to a nearby hospital. Medical personnel later pronounced one of the drivers dead, police said.
 
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim after the investigation.
 
Officials temporarily closed South Sheridan Boulevard in both directions. Police did not say when exactly the roadway reopened.
