PHOENIX, AZ (January 21, 2025) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that one person died in an accident on 59th Avenue on January 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Van Buren Street. Based on a report, officers at the scene found a man with serious injuries from the crash.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities did not release the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
The roadway has been cleared and is reopened.
