LARCHMONT, CA (March 3, 2025) – A person sustained injuries while Kwentin Monk ended up arrested following a pursuit crash on Beverly Boulevard and Wilton Avenue on Thursday, February 20.

The Los Angeles Police Department stated that 19-year-old Monk had been determined as a possible burglary suspect.

This led to a pursuit as Monk traveled at a high rate of speed, entering a cul-de-sac near Oakwood Avenue and June Street.

Amid the chase, Monk decided to turn towards the trailing patrol vehicles, driving to the direction of the police..

This prompted law enforcement to open fire.

Monk managed to continue speeding away, leading up to a collision with another vehicle in the area of Beverly Boulevard and Wilton Avenue.

In a last-gasp effort, Monk attempted to run away by bailing out of his vehicle.

However, officers arrested the suspect for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer.

The accident left the occupant of the stricken vehicle with minor injuries. The patient received transport to a hospital.
