One Killed in Arlington Head-On Accident on Jordan Road

ARLINGTON, WA (August 28, 2023) — One person died and three others had injuries in a head-on crash on Jordan Road on Wednesday, August 23.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at about 11:00 a.m. in the 19300 block of Jordan Road, where the roadway was slick with fluid that likely leaked from another vehicle.

Fire District 21 Chief Chad Schmidt said a sedan and gravel truck collided head-on in the area. The impact killed the front-seat passenger in the sedan. Paramedics pronounced the passenger dead at the scene.

Medics airlifted the driver of the sedan to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. They also rushed another passenger to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Emergency responders also transported the gravel truck driver to Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington.

Authorities suspected the liquid on the roadway was fuel, probably diesel. However, its exact source was unclear.

Sheriff’s office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said it was too early to determine the cause of the crash. He said they need to conduct a full investigation first.
