One Killed, Three Hurt after Five-Vehicle Accident on Rainbow Boulevard and Spring Valley Parkway

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 11, 2023) — One person died in a crash in a five-vehicle crash on Rainbow Boulevard on Sunday, December 3.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials, the incident happened at about 7:16 p.m. at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Spring Valley Parkway.
 
Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala failed to yield at a red light. After that, it crashed into four other vehicles that stopped at a red light.
 
First responders then transported the driver of the Impala to an area hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
 
Three other people sustained injuries in a crash. Reports only described them as a 33-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a 24-year-old woman.
 
Police say they do not suspect impairment as a factor in the drivers of the four vehicles stopped at the red light. Whether they suspect impairment in the deceased driver of the Impala was not available.
 
LVMPD continues to investigate the crash.
