One Dead, One Injured in Head-on Crash on Highway 155 [Coffee City, TX]

COFFEE CITY, TX (March 2, 2023) – One died while another sustained injuries after a crash on Highway 155 on Wednesday, February 22.

According to the Coffee City Police Department, the crash happened around 2:30 a.m.

Initial investigation detailed that a white car lost control after its spare tire failed. As a result, the vehicle lost control.

After that, the car swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a green pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver died at the scene, police said.

Medics took the driver of the white car to UT Health-Tyler in critical condition.

No additional information is available at this time. However, an investigation into the accident continues.
