LONGMONT, CO (December 26, 2024) — One person died in a two-vehicle accident on Weld County Road 20.5 on Thursday, December 12.
 
A Facebook post by Mountain View Fire Rescue said the incident occurred at about 7:00 a.m. on Weld County Road 20.5, just east of Weld County Road 7. They said a pickup truck and a small hatchback crashed in the area.
 
Mountain View Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene and extricated the drivers from their vehicles because of the heavy damage caused by the collision.
 
Emergency responders brought both drivers to nearby hospitals. Medical officers later pronounced one of them dead.
 
Colorado State Patrol handles the ongoing investigation of the incident.
