Fleeing Suspect Involved in Police Chase Accident on 5 Freeway in Grand Mound

 
GRAND MOUND, WA (April 23, 2024) – The Washington State Department of Transportation Tacoma arrested one person after a police chase accident on 5 Freeway on April 7.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 4:15 PM. Based on a report, the suspect was fleeing authorities when police started a chase.
 
Subsequently, another vehicle hit the suspect’s car, which blocked several lanes of the freeway.
 
As a result, two people in the suspect’s car suffered non-life-threatening injuries. One of the occupants was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
 
Police took the driver into custody.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
