Nathaniel Harden Dead after Dumas Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 87

 
DUMAS, TX (June 20, 2024) — 58-year-old Nathaniel Harden, of Amarillo, died in a car accident on Wednesday, June 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident took place on Highway 87, eight miles south of Dumas, at around 10:52 p.m.
 
The Texas DPS officials said a truck tractor towed a semi-trailer parked at the weigh station on Highway 87. Then, for an undetermined reason, a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Amarillo traveled into the weigh station and crashed into the rear of the semi-trailer.
 
Paramedics transported Amarillo to a nearby hospital where he later died from sustained injuries. The driver of the truck tractor received treatment and officers released him on scene.
 
The Texas Highway Patrol Troopers handle the ongoing investigation of the crash.
