Motorcycle Rider Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Northern Avenue near Loop 101

 
PEORIA, AZ (December 6, 2023) — A motorcyclist suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Northern Avenue on Wednesday, October 25.
 
According to Peoria police, the accident happened at about 8:15 a.m. on Northern Avenue just east of Loop 101.
 
Fire crews said paramedics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, police confirmed that the other driver involved in the incident fled the scene.
 
Late Wednesday morning, Peoria police said they found the vehicle involved near 91st Avenue and Olive Avenues. After that, they took the man into custody.
 
Investigators believe intoxication may have played a role in the crash.
 
Authorities closed multiple lanes of Northern Avenue between 91st and 98th Avenue for several hours.
