Motorcyclist Airlifted After Belfair DUI Crash on Highway 3

 
BELFAIR, WA (January 31, 2025) — A 67-year-old Bremerton man sustained injuries in a DUI accident on Highway 3 on Saturday, January 25.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred just before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 3 near Ridgepoint Boulevard, close to a McDonald’s.
 
WSP said that a white 1999 Ford Ranger, driven by a 69-year-old man, traveled west on Ridgepoint Boulevard. As the driver attempted to enter the highway, he failed to yield the right of way. As a result, a northbound red 2003 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle collided into the Ford and a southbound gray 2017 Honda HR-V.
 
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following the incident. Emergency responders airlifted him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
 
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old male driver and 33-year-old female passenger of the Honda were not hurt.
 
Officials suspect impairment played a role in the crash. The Ford driver faces charges of driving under the influence and vehicular assault.
 
The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
