Fatal Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident on North Rampart Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 4, 2024) — A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle accident on North Rampart Boulevard on Thursday, August 29.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened at about 10:12 a.m. on North Rampart Boulevard at the intersection with Canyon Run Drive.
 
LVMPD said that a 2021 BMW 228I moved north on North Rampart Boulevard in a single left-turn lane.
 
At the same time, a 2013 Sanitation Truck moved south on North Rampart Boulevard in the right-most travel lane of three travel lanes. A 2023 KTM Enduro motorcycle also traveled south on North Rampart Boulevard a short distance behind the Sanitation Truck.
 
Then the BMW entered the intersection and turned left. It went into the path of the KTM Enduro motorcycle. As a result, the KTM Enduro motorcycle crashed with the BMW. It ejected the rider forward onto the roadway.
 
After that, the Sanitation Truck run over the motorcycle rider.
 
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene.
 
Both drivers of the Sanitation Truck and BMW stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
 
After a medical evaluation, paramedics brought the BMW driver to University Medical Center for treatment.
