Montana Lujan Killed in Tucson Car Accident

 
TUCSON, AZ (January 21, 2025) — A 25-year-old woman, Montana Rose Lujan, died in a solo-vehicle accident on Tuesday, January 14.
 
The Tucson Police Department said the accident happened around 2:00 a.m. in the 5500 block of South 12th Avenue.
 
According to the Tucson Police, a vehicle reportedly traveled at a high rate of speed on South 12th Avenue. Then the driver lost control and struck a utility pole.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the passenger, Lujan, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics brought the driver to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. They only identified her as a 23-year-old woman.
 
A DUI Unit officer later arrived and evaluated the driver at the hospital. Authorities are awaiting test results to determine if impairment played a role in the accident.
 
Both the driver and the passenger wore their seatbelts during the crash.
