PHOENIX, AZ (January 16, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 26-year-old Michelle Soto who died in a pedestrian accident on 67th Avenue on January 3.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Clarendon Avenue around 6:00 AM. Based on the report, Soto was standing in the roadway in mid-block when she was hit by a southbound SUV.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the SUV stayed on scene and showed no signs of impairment, say police.
