Michael Pinegar Dead after Motorcycle Accident in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (September 24, 2024) — A 35-year-old man identified as Michael Pinegar died in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, September 3.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash occurred on East Platte Avenue and Chelton Road near the Citadel Mall shortly after 8:00 a.m.
 
CSP said Pinegar rode a motorcycle that crashed into a pickup truck on East Platte Avenue and Chelton Road.
 
Emergency responders arrived at the scene. Then they transported Pinegar to the hospital, where he later died.
 
Meanwhile, the driver in the pickup was not hurt.
 
CSP officers said on Thursday that they believe that because of a high volume of traffic in the area, Pinegar did not notice the pickup making a left turn. Additionally, he may have not seen the other vehicles slowing down and therefore he failed to stop in time to avoid a crash.
 
As of writing, there were no issued citations in connection to the fatal crash.
