Alan Chang, Megan McDaniel Killed after Spokane Head-On Accident on 90 Freeway
SPOKANE, WA (May 13, 2024) — Two people identified as Megan McDaniel and Alan Chang died in a head-on accident on Thursday, April 2.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash took place on the westbound 90 Freeway at Altamont Street at about 2:30 a.m.
WSP said 24-year-old McDaniel, from Spokane Valley, drove the wrong way down the westbound side of the freeway at Altamont Street. Then her car collided with another vehicle driven by 59-year-old Chang, of Spokane.
Reports said both McDaniel and Chang died at the scene.
WSP said they have not yet determined if impairment was a factor in the crash.
Authorities closed the freeway for several hours for investigation. They reopened it at about 7:00 a.m.
