PHOENIX, AZ (October 8, 2024) — 37-year-old Matthew Argentino died in a hit-and-run on 27th Avenue on Friday, September 20.
 
The Phoenix Police, the hit-and-run took place near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road just before 8:45 p.m.
 
Phoenix Police officers responded to the area and found Argentino with serious injuries. First responders attempted life-saving measures. However, he still succumbed to his injuries and died.
 
Police said the vehicle involved in the incident fled the area following the incident and did not check on the victim. Authorities describe the vehicle as a grey 4-door sedan.
