Marina Ramirez and Steven Gamez Killed in Bee County Car Accident

 
BEE COUNTY, TX (December 5, 2024)Marina Ramirez and Steven Gamez died in a car accident on Friday, November 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred on Highway 359 at about 5:00 a.m.
 
Texas DPS said 22-year-old Ramirez drove a Kia Forte on Highway 359. Then a garbage truck hit her. The impact caused her vehicle to spin before it stopped in the northbound lane of the highway.
 
A father and son passing by stopped to help Ramirez. The son, 30-year-old Steven Gamez removed Ramirez from her vehicle. He tried to take her back across the southbound lane.
 
As they were moved the car across the roadway, a truck driven by 66-year-old Therese Trumball, of Sandia, hit them.
 
Responding officers pronounced Gamez and Ramirez dead at the scene.
 
Troopers from the Highway Patrol Office in Beeville handle the ongoing investigation of the crash.
