PHOENIX, AZ (August 6, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Greenway Road on July 13.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 32nd Street around 8:00 PM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was crossing inside a marked crosswalk while there was a “do not walk” signal.
 
At that point, an unknown vehicle driving east on Greenway Road hit him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Phoenix police officers said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the crash and did not show signs of impairment.
