Pedestrian Hit, Killed on Ashlan Avenue at Blythe Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (December 12, 2022) – The Fresno Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Ashlan Avenue on December 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Blythe Avenue around 5:45 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle was driving westbound on Ashlan Avenue prior to the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, it hit the victim. The driver said they did not see the victim on the road.
As a result, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
Police say the driver of the vehicle who hit the man stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. They do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor at this time. In addition, no other details are available.
