Motorcycle Involved in Fatal Accident on Highway 287 in Boulder County

 
BOULDER COUNTY, CO (August 9, 2024) – Officials confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 287 on July 12.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Isabelle Road around 7:05 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving his motorcycle when he disregarded a traffic signal.
 
Subsequently, Mountain View Fire Rescue said he hit the rear door on the driver’s side of a Mazda SUV. A fire then fully engulfed the SUV.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the Mazda was able to escape out of the car through the passenger door.
 
Mountain View Fire Rescue responded alongside Lafayette Fire Rescue to the fatal crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
