Motorcycle Dies in Crash with Car on Dyer Street at Ameen Drive in El Paso

 
EL PASO, TX (January 17, 2023) – El Paso police confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle crash on Dyer Street on January 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Ameen Drive at approximately 8:42 PM. Based on a report, the motorcycle rider was driving on Dyer Street at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 54-year-old Maria Delourdes Martin driving a GMC Sierra was traveling near the intersection. Martin failed to yield the right of way, causing both vehicles to crash.
 
As a result, the rider died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Martin refused to go to the hospital.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
