Suspected DUI Driver Madison Boland Involved in Hit-and-Run on 40 Freeway at South Georgia Street in Amarillo
AMARILLO, TX (January 13, 2025) – The Amarillo Police Department arrested Madison Boland following a DUI accident on 40 Freeway on January 5.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at South Georgia Street. Based on a report, Boland was traveling on the freeway when she crashed and wrecked her vehicle.
According to police, she was unresponsive and possibly overdosed on narcotics when they arrived. Police administered Narcan before she was taken to an area hospital.
Officers said Boland resisted paramedics in the ambulance and began fighting hospital personnel while they were trying to treat her. She then started fighting officers and attempted to take two different weapons.
Police arrested and booked Boland in the Potter County Jail on several charges, including Assault on a Peace Officer/Judge and Driving While Intoxicated.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
