Luis Luna Fatally Injured in Hurst Hit-and-Run on Airport Freeway

 
HURST, TX (May 24, 2024) — A pedestrian identified as 16-year-old Luis Luna, of Irving, died in a hit-and-run on Thursday, May 16.
 
According to the North Richland Hills Police, the accident happened in the 8600 block of eastbound Airport Freeway near Precinct Line Road at around 8:45 p.m.
 
A witness called the authorities and reported that a vehicle struck a pedestrian and drove away.
 
First responders arrived at the scene and found Luna with life-threatening injuries. Then they transported him to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he died.
 
Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect or suspect vehicle.
