Leandro Antonio Dead in Phoenix Hit-and-Run

 
PHOENIX, AZ (January 30, 2025) — A 43-year-old man identified as Leandro Antonio died in a hit-and-run on Thursday, January 23.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the crash occurred just before 7:00 p.m. near Dunlap Avenue and 16th Avenue.
 
Phoenix Police reported that an unidentified vehicle struck Antonio. Then the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
 
Emergency responders arrived and attempted life-saving measures. However, Antonio succumbed to his injuries, and they pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Detectives have not yet released the description of the suspect vehicle.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the accident. They urge anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle involved to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO. Tips leading to an arrest may receive a reward of up to $2,000.
