Kyle Strube Killed, Martha Trejo Hospitalized in Crash on Highway 214 at Highway 114 [Morton, TX]

Fatal Morton Car Crash, Kyle Strube Identified

 
MORTON, TX (November 14, 2022) – Police identified 34-year-old Kyle Ryan Strube as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 214 on November 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 114 around 2:14 PM. Based on a report, troopers responded and found two vehicles in the lanes.
 
Officials learned that Strube was driving southbound in his Ford F-150 prior to the crash. At the same time, 39-year-old Martha Madero Trejo of Denver City was driving north. Trejo attempted to turn left into a parking lot and pulled into the path of Strube, causing the collision.
 
As a result, Strube was airlifted to Lubbock University Medical Center, where he later died.
 
Crews transported Trejo to Yoakum County Hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation.
