Karen Keagan Identified in Fatal Westheimer Station Post Office Crash in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (December 7, 2022) – Houston Police identified 58-year-old Karen Keagan as the victim who died after an SUV crashed into the Westheimer Station Post Office on November 30.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Westheimer Road. Based on a report, an 84-year-old woman was parking in a handicapped spot prior to the crash.
 
However, she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, sending her SUV careening right through the front door of the office. Then, the SUV slammed into an interior wall and hit Keagan.
 
As a result, Keagan died in the incident.
 
Police said the driver showed no signs of impairment and her family has asked for privacy.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
