One Killed, Karan Singh Detained in Parker Crash on California Avenue

 
PARKER, AZ (September 12, 2023) – Police arrested Karan Singh following a fatal hit-and-run crash on California Avenue on September 3.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Riverside Drive around 3:30 PM. Based on a report, Singh was driving a semi-truck near the intersection prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, three cars stopped for a red light near Riverside Drive. Due to unknown reasons, Singh struck the vehicles, causing them to fly into the parking lot of a nearby Terrible Herbst gas station. At that point, the truck and one of those vehicles went up in flames. Another vehicle crashed into a boulder before landing on its roof. Singh fled the scene following the wreck.
 
As a result, one person in one of the cars died in the incident. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Multiple others were hurt with one person sustaining critical injuries.
 
Officers later found and arrested Singh for second-degree murder and eight counts of aggravated assault.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
