Motorcyclists Deloris Halpain, Justin Fields Identified in Lubbock Accident

 
LUBBOCK, TX (August 23, 2023) – The Lubbock Police Department identified 41-year-old Justin Fields and 34-year-old Deloris Halpain who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on East 50th Street on August 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Loop 289 around 12:29 PM. Based on a report, Fields was driving a motorcycle with Halpain as his passenger. They were traveling east on 50th Street prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 36-year-old Victoria Soliz was driving an SUV north on the Loop 289 access road. Due to unknown reasons, the two vehicles crashed in the intersection.
 
As a result, Fields and Halpain were seriously hurt in the crash. Crews took the victims to University Medical Center. Also, Soliz had moderate injuries and a 16-year-old passenger had minor injuries. Crews transported them to Covenant Medical Center.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
