Juan Flores Jr. Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Lakeside Drive at 40 Freeway [Amarillo, TX]

Juan Jose Flores Jr. Identified in Fatal Accident on Lakeside Drive in Amarillo

 
AMARILLO, TX (December 18, 2023) – Officers identified 21-year-old Juan Jose Flores Jr. who died in a multi-vehicle on Lakeside Drive on December 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 40 Freeway at approximately 10:50 PM. Based on a report, Flores Jr., who was driving a black Ford Mustang, was racing side-by-side with a green Chevy Camaro during the crash.
 
A semi-truck was pulling out of the Toot ‘n Totum parking lot onto Lakeside Drive when the two cars hit the truck’s trailer. Both cars were wedged underneath.
 
As a result, Flores Jr. suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Camaro suffered minor injuries.
