Motorcycle Rider Joshua Cargill Identified in Fatal Tucson Accident
TUCSON, AZ (October 5, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department identified 36-year-old Joshua Logan Cargill who died in a motorcycle accident on Kolb Road on September 12.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Broadway Boulevard. Based on a report, Cargill was driving a motorcycle northbound on Kolb Road prior to the crash.
Police said Cargill was speeding when a vehicle turned in front of him, which caused a crash. The TPD said Cargill was not wearing a helmet and did not have a motorcycle endorsement.
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old woman, stopped and cooperated with the investigation. TPD said impairment was a factor and charges are pending against the woman.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
