Josephine Cameron Killed after Colorado Springs Pedestrian Accident

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (March 5, 2024) — A pedestrian identified as 78-year-old Josephine Cameron had fatal injuries a pedestrian accident on Thursday, February 1.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the incident took place 3000 block of North Cascade Avenue at about 3:20 p.m.
 
CSPD said officers responded to a crash involving a car and two pedestrians on North Cascade Avenue near East Fillmore Street.
 
Officers said both pedestrians refused medical transportation on the scene of the incident. After the crash, Cameron who is one of the pedestrians, started suffering from headaches. She was then rushed to a hospital. Once there, doctors determined Cameron’s injuries were life-threatening.
 
On February 6, Cameron died from sustained injuries at the hospital. Meanwhile, the other involved pedestrian’s injuries are minor.
 
Reports said the investigation into the crash is underway. In addition, there are pending charges against the driver of the involved vehicle.
 
CSPD said the incident was the 8th traffic-related death in Colorado Springs in 2024.
