Joseph Nunez Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Decatur

 
DECATUR, TX (July 24, 2023) – Officers identified 47-year-old Joseph Nunez of College Station who died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 81 on July 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at County Road 4228 at approximately 1:17 PM. Based on a report, Nunez was riding his motorcycle on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a Dodge Dakota was traveling on County Road 4228. Due to unknown reasons, the driver of the Dodge failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and hit Nunez.
 
As a result, Nunez sustained grave injuries. Emergency crews airlifted him to Wise Health System Hospital in Decatur, where he later died.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
