Jose Peguero Dead after Car Accident on 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 7, 2023) — A man identified as 57-year-old Jose Peguero died in a crash on Friday, November 3.
 
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, the accident involving a car and an SUV happened on 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road at about 4:30 a.m.
 
Police said Peguero drove south on 35th Avenue. Then he failed to yield at a red light at Lower Buckeye Road. It resulted in the SUV colliding with the car.
 
Police say when crews arrived, they discovered that Peguero sustained life-threatening injuries. They pronounced him dead on the scene.
 
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication.
 
This incident is still under investigation.
