Jose Gonzalez, Daisy Cantu, Cohen Cardwell, Lucas Cardwell Hurt in Moses Lake Accident

 
MOSES LAKE, WA (October 8, 2024) – Authorities identified 60-year-old Jose Gonzalez of Moses Lake, 24-year-old Daisy Cantu of Othello, 19-year-old Cohen W. Cardwell, and 15-year-old Lucas Cardwell of Pasco who suffered injuries in a crash on Highway 17 on September 29.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 11:15 AM. Based on a report, five cars were traveling northbound on the highway before the crash.
 
The lead car slowed down to avoid colliding with a stopped vehicle. The action caused the car to crash with three of the trailing vehicles. The last vehicle swerved into the oncoming lanes to avoid the pileup and struck a southbound car.
 
As a result, Gonzalez, Cantu, and the Cardwell teens all sustained injuries in the collisions. Emergency crews transported them to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. The other six people in the crash were not hurt.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
