Jacob Campos Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 385 in Upton County
UPTON COUNTY, TX (December 3, 2024) – Authorities identified 24-year-old Jacob Campos who died in a crash on Highway 385 on November 21.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 7:45 AM. Based on a report, Campos was a passenger in a 2016 Ford F-150 traveling southbound on the highway.
A witness said the Ford driver, Fernando Bosquez, was traveling in an unsafe manner before the crash. Subsequently, the vehicle collided with a northbound 2024 Ram 2500.
As a result, Campos suffered grave injuries in the crash. Crews took him to McCamey Hospital, where he later died.
Crews said Bosquez was in serious condition. They also rushed the driver of the Ram, 32-year-old Angel Banuelos to Odessa Medical Center in stable condition. They were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
